General Description of the TiVo HD Series3:
This Series3 HD DVR from TiVo was the first HD product with the TiVo interface for cable users. The unit was designed and manufactured by TiVo directly and uses CableCARD technology to unencrypt cable channels, making it compatible with essentially all US cable providers. Unlike the DirecTV HD TiVo DVRs, this unit enables the full gamut of networking options including online scheduling, multi-room viewing, streaming of music and pictures, Amazon Unbox, etc.

This is the third generation TiVo remote, the first and only remote with backlighting and a learning capability. This remote will be compatible with all other TiVos that use Peanut-shaped remotes. This has a TiVo logo on the bottom. This remote is also available in white purchased separately.
