General Description of the Hughes HDVR2 for DIRECTV:
This was Hughes' second DirecTV TiVo, and the first of the second generation of TiVos for DirecTV. This unit has a faster processor than its predecessor, a remote with more buttons, and the very important 'folder' feature for the Now Playing List. This series of units has USB ports that were never made active by DirecTV or TiVo, but that have been hacked by Linux programmers to add features to the units. This model has been confused with a model called HDVR3, which never existed. During one software update, a bug in the internal database identified this unit as an HDVR3, but that bug has since been fixed.

This is the second generation DirecTV/TiVo remote. This remote will be compatible with all other TiVos that use Peanut-shaped remotes. This has a DirecTV logo on the bottom.
