General Description of the TiVo Premiere Elite / XL4 Series4 - TCD758250:
The third TiVo Premiere, this unit adds two tuners for a total of four, but removes the ability to record antenna OTA broadcasts, and analog cable. This unit is also the first model to rely on internet broadband connections; it cannot be used with a modem. This unit is significantly smaller than prior models, but has a much faster processor. It is the first unit to have an HD interface, although not all parts are fully HD. The Elite became the XL4 in April of 2012. There were no changes other than the name and the look of the cardboard shipping carton.
Remote Info for the Series4 Black Glo TiVo Peanut Remote:
This is the fourth generation TiVo remote, the first with the colored A B C D buttons (only useful for the TiVo Premiere line). This remote will be compatible with all other TiVos that use Peanut-shaped remotes. In addition to the standard Series4 Peanut remote, this adds backlighting, learning capability, and tactile feedback.
