TiVo and Rhapsody

Standalone TiVos that are connected to a broadband network can access Rhapsody--a music service with millions of songs and a variety of channels. Rhapsody is like a jukebox with millions of songs, available on demand. Since it is connected to your TiVo, you can then play music through your home entertainment system.

So long as you are a subscriber (membership is $12.99/month), you can play as many songs as you want, as many times as you'd like--without the need to purchase songs individually. You can tune in to specific artists, or listen to specific channels.

How to subscribe to Rhapsody:

  1. Sign up for the Rhapsody Service: Click here.
  2. Go to ‘TiVo Central’ > ‘Music, Photos, Products, & More’ > ‘Rhapsody Music Service.’
  3. Sign in as a Rhapsody member.
  4. Browse the music listings.
  5. When you find a song or album you want to play, select it and press PLAY on your TiVo remote.

You can continue browsing artists and albums while listening. If you exit Rhapsody, playback will stop.

After a few minutes of playing time, a screen saver is automatically activated to protect your TV screen. Press any button on the TiVo remote to return to Rhapsody.
