OneTrueMedia - Home Movies on TiVo

TiVo partnered with OneTrueMedia November of 2007 to provide friends and family around the country with a way to share video and photos, by sending them directly to their TiVo DVR to play on their TV.

One True Media users create video montages from their personal photos and video clips. Then, at the One True Media website, they can add various transitions, captions, effects and music to deliver video to a personalized TiVo channel. Once a user has a video created, then can publish it so that other TiVo users can view it directly on their TiVo.

Here's how OneTrueMedia works in practice: Once you have created a video or photo montage, you share it on your own TiVo channel. Your channel can be accessed by anyone with your private TiVo Channel code. A person with access to your channel downloads your movies/montages to their TiVo and can view it there.

Your TiVo Channel subscribers can also get a Season Pass to receive all future montages or download one video at a time, just like any other show TiVo records.

Cost: Registered users can create a personal TiVo channel and share twice for free. In addition to the channel and two Anytime Shares, subscribers receive 5 Monthly Shares. Users can also purchase a package of ten Anytime Shares. This TiVo Ten Pack is available to all users for $9.95. Upgrades from the free service to a paid subscription service is $39.99 annually, or $3.99/month.
